The future of autonomy is about empowering pilots.

The interesting future of aviation autonomy isn't removing pilots. It's creating the operational intelligence layer that makes aircraft meaningfully safer and more capable.

Fly safely…

During normal and emergency operations.

IO Aero’s mission is to bring life-saving intelligence into the future of aviation and make flight safer, more capable, and more approachable for everyone.

Loyd Hook

Founder & CEO

When the combined NASA/USAF/Lockheed Martin team built the F-16 Auto GCAS system, we had one goal: to save pilots' lives. As of 2026, Auto GCAS has been credited with saving 13 aircraft and pilots from fatal accidents.

IO Aero's mission is to move these technologies into the public domain and create systems that not only make aviation much safer, but also make flying much easier and more approachable.
